DBX 263X De-Esser

The DBX 263 De-esser is a standard in most studios. This frequency dependent compressor helps to remove sibilance from vocals. It has a variable frequency that helps select the area in where the compression is needed most. This unit also works well for dampening hi hat bleed from your snare mic.

P.S. –  You cannot run things through it backwards to “add some sibilance back in.” (actual question from a client)
