Jason Gillespie
Born and raised in the melting pot known as Memphis, TN, Jason Gillespie has been pushing to make his sonic mark on the music scene for almost a decade. Just as the city is a fusion of people and influences, so is Jason’s musical palate. From the soul and groove of Stax to the rock n’ roll edge that made this city famous, Jason can confidently say that he has worked on influential records from almost every genre you could name. Having graduated from the University of Memphis in 2005, Jason has fine tuned his craft under the tutelage of engineering masterminds like John Hampton and Jimmy Hoyson. Utilizing these recording practices, Jason has come in to his own as a recording engineer, whose primary passion is mix engineering.
Having recently produced and engineered Rainy Day Manual’s Instructions In English, Jason has also been involved on movie soundtracks and Grammy nominated albums such as: Ruthie Foster’s The Truth According To Ruthie Foster, Puscifer’s V is for Vagina, Big Head Todd’s 100 Years of Robert Johnson, and The Great Debaters Soundtrack.
