Jeff has been recording and making records for 22 years. Jeff was a staff assistant engineer, then engineer/mixer and finally producer at Ardent from ’89-’97. He has been independent since then, but still calls Ardent home. Working at Ardent in his early years afforded him many opportunities to work with some of the greatest artists, producers and engineers of all time, including 6 records with the late great Tom Dowd. Some of his name-drop credits include Bob Dylan, The Afghan Whigs, Big Star, Tonic, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Through the years he has taken what he calls “the best from the best” and come up with his own eclectic approach to making records.
Jeff has worked on multiple gold and platinum records, 5 Grammy award winning projects, was twice voted Best Engineer by the Memphis Chapter of NARAS, chaired the Producer and Engineering wing for the Memphis Chapter of NARAS, and been honored as a legendary producer of Memphis at the annual Blues Ball.
