Memphis, TN – Ardent, always aiming to elevate our capabilities to a standard far exceeding most, announces a substantial upgrade to its state-of-the-art facilities, integrating premium monitoring controllers and summing solutions from Dangerous Music, outfitting its newly enhanced Studio D, with the intention of integrating these exceptional tools across all studios.  This investment reinforces Ardent’s commitment to providing unparalleled sonic detail.

Unrivaled Monitoring Control with Dangerous Music:

We firmly believe that a truly exceptional mix starts with transparent and accurate monitoring. We’ve meticulously outfitted our rooms with top-tier monitoring solutions from McIntosh, Bowers & Wilkins, and ATC, ensuring an unparalleled listening experience. Issues arise as many console monitoring sections lack the clarity and spatial detail critical for monitoring. Thus the final, crucial piece of this sonic puzzle, came from our collaboration with Dangerous Music.

Given their strong heritage and reputation within the mastering community, Dangerous Music was the obvious choice. Nothing compares to the clarity and headroom of the Dangerous Monitor ST, which prioritizes sound quality over fleeting, elaborate LCD displays.

Additionally these units can integrate seamlessly into existing console workflows.

Additonal Summing Solutions with the Dangerous 2-Bus+

Note: We have not abandoned our mixing desks. While our beloved mixing desks remain central to our studios, we’ve listened to our clients’ needs for increased efficiency and flexibility, and we strive to accommodate them.

Our next priority was seamlessly integrating additional summing into our console’s workflow, and the Dangerous 2-Bus+ emerged as the clear leader in this arena.

The addition of the Dangerous 2-Bus+ offers a range of powerful options for engineers and producers:

  • Hybrid Digital/Analog Workflows: For clients who prefer working primarily in a digital environment but desire external summing solutions rather than using a traditional mixing desk, the 2-Bus+ provides the perfect solution. They may opt for recallable outboard equipment while enjoying the benefits of accurate control rooms.
  • Expanded Summing for Console Users: Engineers who may mix partially on the desk and are satisfied with existing stems can easily expand their summing channels without needing to engage full console channel strips. Now they can output the desk’s buses into stereo pairs of the 2Bus+ or send the output of the 2Bus+ to one of the desk’s stereo bus returns.
  • Stem and Mix Printing: Many engineers favor a traditional desk mix, utilizing the multiple stereo buses offered. The 2-Bus+ allows for the simultaneous printing of stems alongside the stereo mix and any desired analogue stereo processing. With this solution, they can print their multiple stereo stems directly in the DAW without two-mix processing, as well as a processed, analogue-summed stereo version through the 2Bus+. This also facilitates rapid hybrid recalls, as users can swiftly pull up stems, run them back through the 2-Bus+ and any stereo processing. We want users to enjoy the equipment without the anxiety of recalls. The Dangerous 2Bus+ makes this possible.

With these new capabilities, Ardent Studios provides an unprecedented level of flexibility. You can mix and match any type of workflow here with ease, knowing that you have the finest tools at your disposal.

This investment in Dangerous Music gear reinforces Ardent Studios’ unwavering commitment to technological excellence. We invite artists and producers to experience the difference firsthand and discover how Ardent Studios can elevate their next project.
