STUDIO C

Studio C

Studio C is soon to feature a custom Wolff Audio/Ardent 48×48 desk with flying faders, marking the latest evolution of this storied space. Studio C was the final major addition to Ardent’s Madison Avenue complex, designed by Audio Consultants of Nashville, TN in 1979 and completed in 1980.

The live room is the second largest at Ardent, measuring 27’ 6” x 32’, and is equipped with three moderately-sized isolation booths that offer excellent sightlines to one another. This layout creates a comfortable and collaborative environment for both musicians and producers.

Studio C quickly became the creative home for legendary artists, from ZZ Top to Stevie Ray Vaughan, and countless others. Over the years, its control room has seen several updates, with new mixing desks and technological enhancements added along the way. In 2023, the control room underwent another significant revision, incorporating modern acoustic and technical sensibilities. With precise monitoring from Bowers & Wilkins, ATC, Trinnov, and McIntosh, Studio C now offers a world-class listening experience, while maintaining the warmth and character that has made it a favorite among artists for over four decades.
